Job Title: Receptionist
Department: General & Administrative
Reports to: Controller
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
One hour lunch with (2) 15 min. breaks
Job Summary:
To receive both visitors and callers, determine the nature of their business and direct them to the appropriate CMC personnel. Operating the switchboard and maintaining telephone listing information; assisting staff with clerical and administrative support duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, visitors and guests in a courteous and professional manner. Determine the purpose of visit and direct individual to the appropriate location.
- Answer, screen and direct telephone callers to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain daily in/out scheduling board for Roanoke employees.
- Maintain an organized and professional appearance in the reception area at all times.
- Provide training to employees providing front desk relieve and backup telephone coverage.
- Notify supervisor of issues/problems/needs that arise in the reception area.
- Open, sort and distribute daily mail.
- Daily scan of documents to Accounts Payable.
- Scan backup documents as needed for other departments.
- Prepare invoices and statements for mailing.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to all departments as needed, including data entry, preparation and edit of various documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous switchboard and/or administrative experience preferred.
